Of course the model I bought came without de building manual. But I have another 3900 kit so I could with that manual. The manuals of older DJH kits are not exactly long-winded but this one beats all previous records: exactly zero words. Only a set of exploded views. Well if you have built one or two kits before this may be just enough.
