The book merely a collection of a handful philosophical view form different angles on the operation and role of the German railways in the nazi time. At no point there is any attempt to come to a comprehensive and coherent timeline in the stories. Every chapter is a timeline in its own right usually starting in 1933 (rise to power of the nazis) or 1939 (start of the war). The photo's make are of good quality and sometime original and unconventional rendering the book interesting considering it low price. In short: poor story, good pictures.
