A closer inspection

Once I got home I unpacked the loco and had a better look at it. Well, let's say the result wasn't exactly encouraging.

This is the condition the loco was in when I got it.

At first sight the loco seems to be in a pretty good condition.

A closer look reveals trouble. In many places the paint has chipped off or cracked.
	This side is hardest hit, the paint on the cab door is simply looking for an opportunity to abandon its loco.

After this inspection I knew I was in for a far larger job than I had estimated at the time of the purchase. But, on the other hand, I didn't shy away from challenge.
